We will review Fundations for the end of the year. We will assess all trick words including be, I as, his, is, the, and, me, they, you, and was. We will review all digraphs including ch, ck, wh, th, sh, and ch. We will work on writing COMPLETE sentences and short stories.
We will continue to write our daily journal entries for morning work... we are practicing "kid writing" vs. Ms. Sudnick telling 19 students how to spell the words correctly, I encourage them to say and listen to each letter sound of the work they are trying to spell and write each sound they hear. This is what we call "kid writing"... mistakes are aloud!
We continue to practice story predictions, alphabetical order and capital letter formation. Please continue practicing sounds, blending, CVC words, sight words, segmenting, and rhyming at home.
For writing we will continue using the language of the following while writing letters: Sky Line, Airplane (belly button) Line, Ground Line, and Wormy Line. This will help support my darling write each letter correctly.
Please practice Iready for 45 minutes for reading weekly.

A Note From Ms.Sudnick: So... as we closed our last week, we counted 9 more days of Kindergarten... several of us were emotional so get ready! I plan to begin closing up our school year thus you WILL see your sweet pea bringing home some items! Also, a friendly reminder that the last week of school ( May 28-31) my darlings DO NOT need to bring their back packs! If you would like to donate some plastic bags (from Publix, Target, Walmart...) that would be helpful. They will be bringing books home this week... We had several supplemental lessons that kept us challenged thus feel free to complete any blank pages over the summer as it would be a good review. IMPORTANT NEWS FROM COACH: On field day, please have your child wear the designated color shirt. Please see the list under IMPORTANT UPCOMING DATES.
